What is personal data and what categories of data do we process at Gelpeixe?

In what situations do we process your personal data?

At Gelpeixe we process your personal data with your consent when you make a purchase, hire a service or use our website. This processing can be done orally, in writing or via our website.

Gelpeixe guarantees that your personal data will only be processed for the purposes communicated to you and will not be used for any other purpose. We process your personal data in order to guarantee the quality of the service we provide and to be able to respond better to your needs. On what basis do we process your personal data?

Gelpeixe retains your personal data only for the period of time strictly necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it collected it or, as the case may be, until you exercise your right to object or right to erasure. Once this retention period has elapsed, Gelpeixe will delete your personal data.

Who do we pass on your personal data to?

Whenever necessary, Gelpeixe may pass on your personal data to third parties - Gelpeixe's partner companies, for example, haulage companies - solely and exclusively for the purpose of carrying out a service you have contracted, such as home delivery of a product. Your personal data may also be communicated, in compliance with the law, to State entities such as the Tax Authority.

Can you find out what personal data Gelpeixe holds about you?

At your request, Gelpeixe can confirm what information we hold about you and how it is processed. If Gelpeixe holds personal data about you, you can request the following information:

- Identity and contact details of the person or organisation that has determined how and why to process your data. In some cases, this will be a representative in the EU.

- Contact details of the data protection officer, where applicable.

- The purpose of the processing, as well as the legal basis for it.

- If the processing is based on the legitimate interests of Gelpeixe or a third party, information about those interests.

- The categories of personal data collected, stored and processed.

- Recipient(s) or categories of recipients to whom the data will be disclosed.

- If we intend to transfer personal data to a third country or international organisation, information on how to ensure that this is done securely. - Any automated decision-making details and information, such as profiles, and any significant information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and expected consequences of such processing.

What are my rights as a data subject?

Under the terms of the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data, Gelpeixe guarantees, at all times, the exercise of the rights legally conferred on you, namely the right of access, rectification, limitation of processing, data portability, opposition and erasure (‘right to be forgotten’), and you may also oppose its processing for direct marketing purposes.

To exercise the rights referred to above, you can send a written request addressed to Gelpeixe (data controller), by post to Rua Comandante Carvalho Araújo, nºs 69 - 69A, Sete Casas, 2670-540, Loures.

If you believe there has been an infringement of your rights, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Portugal, the supervisory authority is the National Data Protection Commission (hereinafter ‘CNPD’). More information about the CNPD is available at www.cnpd.pt.

What forms of identification do I need to provide in order to access and exercise my rights?
